Capital Area Transit System (CATS) will hold a series of informational sessions to discuss the upcoming Service Improvement Plan implementation, which will take effect on Sunday, February 24, 2019. There will be four sessions in both Baton Rouge and Baker to meet with customers and the public.

November 1, 2018 - Baton Rouge, LA - The Capital Area Transit System announces the long awaited launch of a new mobile application to help riders track their buses on their smartphones or through the CATS website www.brcats.com on an interactive map. The RouteShout 2.0 app can be downloaded for free on iPhone and Android devices from the Apple Store or Google Play.

BATON ROUGE, La. – The Capital Area Transit System's CATS On Demand paratransit serivce will have a new phone number for scheduling and reservations: 225.239.2550. The new number will be in effect on April 23, 2018.

The Capital Area Transit System is monitoring the volume and flow of traffic in areas where demonstrations may be occurring in Baton Rouge in the coming days, as it has done previously in July of 2016 and May of 2017.
