CATS Awards Paratransit Service Contract to MV Transportation Following Months-Long Procurement Process

BATON ROUGE, La. – The CATS Board of Commissioners voted Tuesday evening to award the contract for paratransit services to MV Transportation, Inc. after a months-long procurement process. The award was between MV Transportation, Inc. and Reliant On-Call, the two highest-scoring respondents to a solicitation for the services.

“We are proud of the rigorous nature of our procurement process and the result that it yielded,” said CATS Spokesperson Amie McNaylor. “The staff worked diligently on this bid and we are happy to have such engaged input from our Board, who clearly take this—and all CATS contracts—seriously,” McNaylor continued.

“We are happy to have partnered with Reliant for more than a decade of CATS On Demand paratransit service and wish them continued success in the future. At the same time, CATS is eager to work with MV and bring the highest level of CATS On Demand service to our customers and the community,” McNaylor said.

The details of the contract between CATS and MV still have to be finalized.
