CATS to End Sunday Service Early on August 23 for Professional Development Day
Final trips on routes will end at approximately 4:00 p.m.
CATS will operate on adjusted hours Sunday, August 23, 2026, while the agency holds an agency-wide professional development day for its employees. Service on select routes will end earlier than usual, with final trips ending at approximately 4:00 p.m. that day.
The day gives bus operators, dispatchers, maintenance technicians, and frontline staff dedicated time for training, safety, and customer-service development — an investment in the CATS team that means safer, more reliable service for the riders who depend on it.
“Investing in our team is investing in our riders,” said Theo Richards, CEO of CATS. “A dedicated development day helps our employees grow so we can keep delivering the safe, dependable service our community counts on.”
Only select routes are affected. Riders should plan ahead and check route-specific schedules on the MyStop app or at www.brcats.com. Regular service resumes the following day. CATS On Demand will continue to operate its regular hours on Sunday, August 23.
