Capital Area Transit System (CATS) Empower Baton Rouge Transit Study to Seek Community Input on Proposed Transit Improvements
BATON ROUGE, L.A. – The Capital Area Transit System (CATS) will re-engage with communities to share key findings on transit barriers experienced by the community and the corresponding proposed improvements. CATS is seeking community feedback on the proposed improvements through listening sessions, a survey, and other community events. Last Fall, the Empower Baton Rouge Transit Study engaged community members in CATS service area to understand what challenges the community faces when using transit. This feedback led to the development of the proposed improvements to transit services and passenger amenities.
Listening Session
The study team will host one more in-person listening session for community participation. The session will provide an opportunity for communities to learn more about the proposed transit improvements and share feedback.
- In-person Listening Session (This session will be an open-house format to allow residents to drop-in at any time to review materials and talk with the study team. There will not be a formal presentation.)
- Tuesday, March 19, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Capital Area Transit System, 2250 Florida Boulevard, Baton Rouge, 70802
Additionally, the study team will be at the listening session to talk with residents.
