CATS Announces Communications Director Deanna Wallace

BATON ROUGE, La. – Capital Area Transit System (CATS) interim CEO Dwana Williams announced Mrs. Deanna Wallace as the new CATS Communications Director, effective Monday, May 23, 2022.

“The services CATS provides to the Baton Rouge area have an important impact on our fellow residents, on our economy, and serve to enhance the wellbeing of Baton Rouge as a whole,” Wallace said. “I am grateful and excited for the opportunity to promote the hard work of our dedicated CATS employees, and to share how their efforts help improve the lives of our valued riders and our entire community.”

Wallace joins the CATS team after working in communications and legal roles with a variety of state and national non-profits and government agencies. Most recently, she served as the Communications Officer and Assistant Attorney General with the Louisiana Department of Justice.

Wallace received her Bachelor’s in Communications from Louisiana State University in Shreveport, and her Juris Doctor from LSU’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center.
